Pregnancy Tickers from WiddlyTinks.com

We had our first ultrasound today and saw the little heart beating away! Yay! Our new due date is October 19th, 2009.

Oh and I finally threw up today while brushing my teeth. Yes, I really do feel pregnant now!

sick, sick, sick!!

All day nausea?! Seriously? Seriously! I don't feel like eating, which makes me feel sick. When I do eat, I still feel sick. BLAH! I am happy I am sick because at least I feel sick but honestly, it is pretty miserable. It is supposed to get better after the first trimester.

I had my OB blood panel drawn today and tomorrow we have an ultrasound. Reallyyyyyy hoping to see the heartbeat. I am off to bed, at least I am not nauseous when I am sleeping! Small victories!

Just Kidding, Different Magic Number...

Dr. T (not JT) told me on Monday that my number was 734. B called me today and said really it was 742. Not drastically higher, but I will take those 8 points. I am ridiculously exhausted but besides that feeling pretty good. I hope we see the heartbeat next week. I just want to tell my mom & sister already!!!!

The Magic Number of the Day is...

734... that is what my 2nd beta HCG number was... which puts my doubling time at 1.91 days, or within the normal desired limits. I am hoping my little pumpkin seed is going to stick...

oh and above for your viewing pleasure are my $ tree pregnancy tests. I ran out so I guess that means I am done testing (until a little voice in my head makes me drive to the store and buy more)...looks like I might be pregnant for real!

Thank Goodness for Dr. T!!

JT is amazing. She was in med school with A and I have since claimed her as my own friend!! No one back home knows we are prego right now except her...She has been through the ups and downs of our infertility and is like my on-call dr who reassures me when I worry too much! We are so lucky to have her =) MISSSSSSSS YOUUUUUUUU

Yayyy baby hormones!

My HCG beta draw for 12 days past ovulation was 58. I am happy with that number. So far I know I have a 6 week appointment on 2/23/09 and a 10 week appointment on 3/20/09. I hope everything stays healthy. As a new mommy-to-be I am of course FREAKING OUT at every little twinge!

In Daddy's Words

From A:

I came home last night from work, tired and an hour and a half late, and C was holding the front door to the condo open already, which was very unusual. Then I noticed the dogs were locked up in their kennels which was also unusual and knew something was going on. After I walked over to the breakfast bar area, where I place my keys and wallet down, I noticed C playing with her digital camera facing the kitchen like she was going to take pictures of it and at that point thought she was going crazy. She tried to get me into the kitchen by telling me she had something in the kitchen. She said "it's in the microwave," so I thought it was the Indian food she said she would bring home for me. I wanted to take my jacket off and get out of my flight suit but she kept coercing me to go into the kitchen, so I got closer and then noticed something green hanging on the cabinets that are across from the microwave. I thought that it was a towel she decided to hang up there and still didn't get what was going on. I still wanted to change my clothes and hop in the shower but C told me to go into the kitchen once again, so I finally walk into the kitchen. As I came closer to the "green towel" I noticed it was actually a pair of infant/children sized scrubs from CCHMC that I've seen before in the giftshop over there and then noticed the two sticks on the front pocket. About 3 feet away, I saw the "pregnant" indicator on the digital pregnancy test and it finally hit me. C is pregnant! After that, I became really excited and I made that weird laugh of mine as evidenced by the video, and all I wanted to do after that was embrace C! Yay!

Daddy-to-be

So I told A last night. I think he was in shock, what do you think?:

Is it for REAL for real?

After struggling to conceive for 15 months, taking clomid, undergoing IUI, numerous bloodtests, countless wand ultrasounds and a surgery-I have a hard time believing that those two lines on the test are real. It literally has not hit me. Well, the extreme waves of nausea have. But I am loving it as I am hopeful it is a sign of a strong viable pregnancy. Above are my tests from Thursday, 2/5/09 on 11 days past ovulation. (PS did I mention I ovulated on my OWN? No nasty meds. Dr. R is my hero =)

I went to the Nurse Practitioner today to check my Beta HCG levels to make sure it is normal. I wasn't expecting her to go into lots of details and congratulate me and call me a "success story." She couldn't wait to tell Dr. R. Even the lab tech gave me a hug. Awww.

I haven't told A yet. He will be home in an hour and I will tell him then. I bought a little scrub set from the kiddo hospital I work at that says "Future Doctor." I think he will be as shocked as I am!

We aren't telling friends and family for now, in case something happens. I don't want everyone to get excited to only be let down. But for now, I am enjoying this and taking it for what it is...nausea and all!
